How simple is that? How many chances should someone get to have a baby then kill it horribly before they are prevented from ever reproducing again? In some ways it makes me think of pedophiles. Pedophilia (according to the literature anyway) is not something that you can 'recover' from. People who practice it should not ever be allowed to enter society again. Because they will do it again. Well, if you kill your child, the fruit of your womb, you should never be allowed to have another child. Not ever. Because if you are a heinous enough person to do such a thing once, then you are certainly capable of doing it again. Sometimes I think that possibly the law is going out of it's way to protect the criminals and chucking the rest of us out there as bait...so the criminals can do their criminal thing. Some days it makes you want to sit down and cry. And some days it makes you want to spray paint mean things on the pedophile's house down the street (I know he's there because in the USA the authorities have to TELL you when a sex offender is moving into the neighborhood). You could hear our house values plummeting as we opened the envelopes.
