Man Charged After Son Gets Drunk At Wedding
MERRIMACK, N.H. — A man is facing charges after his 16-year-son got drunk at a wedding.
Police said the boy consumed more than a dozen glasses of wine and beer at a wedding on Saturday. They said his father, James Watkins, of Milford, N.H., was with him and afterwards went to drop the boy off at his estranged wife’s home in Merrimack.
But police said Watkins left his son at the end of the street because a restraining order keeps him from going near the house. Police said he should have left the boy with a responsible adult.
Watkins was charged with child endangerment.
