Woman Charged With Giving Wine To Baby At State Fair
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Missouri mother was arrested at the Kentucky State Fair after police said she gave her child a baby bottle filled with alcohol.
According to a police report, an officer saw 40-year-old Kathryn Bowen buy wine in Freedom Hall, pour it into a baby bottle and give the bottle to her 11-month-old.
Police said Bowen was confronted and admitted that she was feeding the child alcohol to help her sleep.
Bowen was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a minor.
The child was placed in protective custody.
